We started the year off with a bang, bringing together some of the best known women in Singapore’s technology space to provide our community with some insight on manoeuvring the technology landscape. Speakers included: Ria Hoban (APAC Digital Analytics Alliances Lead), Anika Grant (APAC HR Director at Uber), Dierdre Chew (Agency Lead at Google APAC), Lena Goh (Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at GovTech), and Jon Neale (Technology Director at McGregor Boyall).

Breaking Barriers for Women in Film and Animation – Mar 15, 2017
In March, Lizi Hamer was joined by CheeK (director of Chicken Rice War), Jacqui Hocking (documentary filmmaker at Vision Strategy Storytelling), Charlotte Worthington (Puttnam School of Film and Animation, LASALLE), Vicky Chen (Cartoons Underground), and Carlene Tan (former studio head of One Animation) to discuss inequality in the movie industry.

Women Cannes Lah! – Jul 19, 2017
See It Be It is a career development and acceleration programme for rising stars in the creative communications industry who are expected to lead the way for change. It provides executive training, mentoring and exclusive networking opportunities while nurturing a community of like minded ambassadors, encouraged and supported to bring the learning back and help others.
In July, Lizi Hamer and Knox Balbastro, two amazing women who witnessed it first hand, shared their experience with us. They told us what they learnt from trailblazers such as Sheryl Sandberg, Susan Credle, and Cindy Gallop.
Building Your Creative “Grit” – Oct 26, 2017
In October, we talked about the power of perseverance and being tough enough to endure. We learnt how to build courage to confidently present ideas, how to survive the industry and build the grit to excel.
